WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER (FULL STACK)

Website Syntech

The Full Stack Web Application Developer will be responsible for developing features for new and existing websites, as well as maintaining and updating features.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees changes in the site’s technical architecture to ensure that the website remains responsive and stable.
  • Manages website development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of related hardware and software.
  • Ensures that web administrators comply with established standards and specifications.
  • Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application.
  • Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application.
  • Design and develop web pages, graphics, multimedia, and GUIs; utilize storyboarding and graphic predesigns where appropriate.
  • Learn, understand, and implement new and/or old technologies being utilized.
  • Effectively deploy code to production environments to ensure high quality service.
  • Communicate with the internal team driving scope initiatives and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Leverage technical knowledge and creativity to find business opportunities within the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related discipline; will consider relevant years’ experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing, maintaining, and updating website features.
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple front-end languages, back-end languages, and JavaScript frameworks (ex: HTML/CSS, PHP, WordPress, SEO, Javascript, XML, jQuery, C#, Java, Python, Angular, React, Node.js).
  • Experience developing web applications with object-oriented design techniques utilizing PHP, Angular, Restful Services, Databases, and backend API.
  • Proficient knowledge of the following:
    • SQL databases and relational data concepts
    • Code versioning tools (ex: Git) or other version control systems
  • Experience with the following, preferred:
    • Advanced Javascript concepts
    • PHP frameworks and libraries
    • Server infrastructure (IIS, Apache)
    • Algorithm efficiency and technical debt management
    • Open Source project contributions on Github
  • Basic knowledge of imaging authoring tools; ability to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments of an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop, a plus.
  • Organized, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse and cohesive environment; works independently, as needed.
  • Able to build strong professional relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Committed to a high level of service; takes active and sometimes creative measures to solve problems.
