Syntech Systems – FuelMaster specializes in the development of advanced electronic fuel and fleet management systems. We are seeking a Software Developer II  who will be responsible for software development of new products and features to include electric vehicles.  This individual will also administer solutions that will extend the capabilities of existing software.


  • Performs systems analysis and design for new features and troubleshoot issues with existing products.
  • Adds features to existing products and maintain software artifacts.
  • Debugs software to identify and resolve isolated issues.
  • Tests software, firmware, and associated hardware and systems.
  • Adheres to development methodology best practices and procedures.
  • Contributes to technical documentation for all testing, troubleshooting and development efforts.
  • Participates in analysis and design sessions.
  • Assists with directed research in support of engineering initiatives.
  • Provides ongoing support and assistance to senior engineers as needed.
  • Troubleshoots issues and assists customers with solving system problems.
  • Applies best practices with system architecture and frameworks to ensure consistent development across all systems.
  • Supports operational functions such as build, deployment, and production support efforts.
  • Applies fueling, fleet, and other core business domain knowledge to assist with software development that meets customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related field; will consider relevant years’ experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ related work experience.
  • Proficient with Java and Angular 2.0 (or higher).
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Able to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to accurately document requirements and specifications.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodology and release processes.
