  • Possess an endless appetite to find new customers, cultivate relationships, and sell.
  • Continuously build a pipeline of opportunities; nurture those opportunities enthusiastically with distributors and headquarter support.
  • Strive to be “the face of Syntech” in the region; ongoing collaboration with distributors, headquarter resources, and project management is essential.
  • Utilize all available resources to the fullest in a team-selling environment.
  • Able to quickly obtain product knowledge and confidently drive market opportunities across all segments of the region.
  • Build strategic relationships with suppliers and distributors; sustain current customer relationships.
  • Manage distributor relationships to achieve sales goals and lead with the Syntech suite of products.
  • Attend industry trade shows and appropriate networking events; follow-up on new leads.
  • Monitor competition by gathering relevant information.
  • Serve as customer liaison with associated internal departments ensuring project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Report sales activity, leads, prospects, and relevant account and market data.
  • Represent Syntech with a high level of professionalism, character and integrity.


  • Must live in the Southwest (preferably southern CA or SW Arizona).
  • 3-5 years’ proven success as an individual contributor in outside sales.
  • Fuel and petroleum equipment sales, a major plus.
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role with solid presentation skills; ability to explain technical product features to a variety of audiences is a must.
  • BS is preferred; will consider relevant outside sales experience in lieu of degree.
  • Overnight travel is essential for success; approximately 50% of the time.
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record (with no restrictions or major violations); company vehicle supplied.
  • Sound business acumen and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with trust and a consulting type sales approach.
  • Thrive in the fast-paced environment of sales with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
